(Pensacola, Fla.)—SMG and Pensacola Ice Flyers have joined forces to help raise money for the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life Pensacola. The Pensacola Relay for Life event will be held at Booker T Washington High School Track on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 6:00pm. The Relay for Life program is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. The team-based event provides friends, families and coworkers the opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to the disease, and learn more about how to fight back against cancer. Both SMG and Pensacola Ice Flyers are involved in contributing to the quality of life in Pensacola and creating a lasting impact through community service and charitable giving. By combining forces and aligning with the nation’s largest and most respected voluntary health organization, the goal is to raise $5,000.00 through the “SMG Pensacola Ice Flyers Relay for Life Team” with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. The goal of the team is to not only reach our monetary goal, but to raise awareness of the importance of cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and patient support.
