(Pensacola, Fla.) The SMG managed Pensacola Bay Center’s Marketing Team has won an advertising award at the annual SMG Marketing Summit in Long Beach, California this week.
Senior Marketing Manager, Carly Johnston and Interactive Marketing Manager, Sarah Darden designed the ad for the national venue trade magazine, Pollstar, to celebrate Pensacola Bay Center’s 30th anniversary. The ad displayed some of the most recognizable acts that have come through Pensacola in the last three decades.
“We wanted to create an ad that showed some of the most memorable acts throughout the past 30 years and say thank you to everyone who has played at our venue”, Johnston said. “Technology and music may change, but live entertainment will always be around, creating lasting memories.”
The marketing duo was presented the 2015 SMG Best Trade Ad Venue Produced and Johnston accepted the award at the annual conference on June 9, 2015.

This is the first year for the SMG Marketing Summit awards. SMG venues submitted their work into six different categories and five other venues were nominated for Best Trade Advertisement produced by venue. SMG employees worldwide voted for their favorite in each category.
